ReelRank replaces the second and third steps: enter the weight at the scales and the leaderboard, the season standings, and the results email all come from that one entry.

A scoring flow built around a real weigh-in
Scoring moves through three stages, and each one only lets you edit what should be editable at that point. Before weigh-in you set boat numbers. During weigh-in you enter weights. When it is done you finalize, and the results publish.
That structure exists because the alternative — one big editable grid — is how a mis-key at the scales quietly becomes a wrong season standing three months later.

Each event has a public scoreboard that refreshes on its own. Anglers still tying down the boat can see where they stand without walking back to the scales to ask, and family who did not make the trip can follow along.

One entry feeds everything else
The weight you enter at the scales is the same number that produces the finishing order, the season points, the angler-of-the-year standings, and the results notification. There is no second system to reconcile and no end-of-night data entry.

When the ramp has no signal
Plenty of ramps have no useful cell service. Print a scoresheet with your registered teams, run the weigh-in on paper the way you always have, and enter the results when you get back. Handy too if you take day-of walk-ups.

Common questions
- Can I score a fishing tournament from a tablet at the ramp?
- Yes. Scoring runs in a browser on a tablet or laptop over WiFi or a phone hotspot. Weights are entered as teams come through the line, and the public leaderboard updates from those entries.
- Do anglers need an app to see the live leaderboard?
- No. The event scoreboard is a public web page that works in any phone browser. You can share it as a link or a QR code, and no account is needed to view it.
- What happens if there is no cell service at the ramp?
- Print a scoresheet with your registered teams before you go, run weigh-in on paper, and enter the results when you are back in service. This also covers day-of walk-up entries.
- Can I fix a weight I entered wrong?
- Yes. While the event is in the weigh-in stage, scores remain editable, and corrections flow through to the finishing order and season standings automatically. Scoring moves through three stages so that boat numbers and weights cannot be edited at the wrong time by accident.
- How does scoring work for a two-day championship?
- Two-day events are scored one day at a time, with each day kept separate and the combined result determining the finish. Championship results do not add points to the season standings.
- Do anglers get their results automatically?
- Yes. When an event is finalized, anglers are notified with their results and a link to the full standings, so you are not posting screenshots to a group chat afterward.
